Asphalt Sealcoating & Crack Filling
Aurora Asphalt & Sealcoating offers the top of the line sealcoating service. Sealcoating is essential in preventing your asphalt surface from premature failure. Our sealcoating process consists of 4 steps:
POWER CLEANING: Wire brushes/brooms are used to loosen up all debris on the asphalt surface and in cracks. Power blowers with air speed of over 200mph are used then to blow the surface clean. Standard sweep equipment is used for large sealcoating projects.
OIL SPOT PRIMING: Petroleum spots are cleaned and primed to improve adhesion of sealer.
CRACK FILLING: Hot rubberized crack filler is used for filling cracks 1/4 to 1/2 inches wide. Rubberized crack filler is poured into cracks 1/2 to 1 -1/2 inches wide and 1/4 inch deep at an additional charge. The rubber will retain its elasticity during repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
SEALER: The sealer is a slip-resistant formula with silica sand and rubber additives. This allows for maximum penetration into the pores of the surface. The sealer is applied with a brush, providing maximum adhesion versus spray applications. Finally, we barricade all access to the sealed surfaces.
